New Auckland five-star hotel Horizon by SkyCity will open to guests from 1 March 2024.

The hotel is SkyCity’s third hotel property in Auckland, alongside SkyCity Hotel and The Grand by SkyCity. The addition of Horizon by SkyCity will bring 303 new rooms, including 10 suites.

‘Horizon by SkyCity has been designed to connect our guests to their surroundings, from the curved architecture of the hotel with outlooks across the city and beyond to touches of Aotearoa in every room,’ SkyCity chief operating officer, Callum Mallett says.

Multiple entries to the hotel allow guests to move throughout the central city, with a pedestrian laneway, street-level access and air bridges connecting the hotel to the SkyCity precinct and the New Zealand International Convention Centre set to open in 2025.

David Allott, SkyCity general manager of hospitality says guests will be spoilt for choice with dining and entertainment options mere minutes away.

Recruitment for the hotel and NZICC is ongoing, with SkyCity looking to add a further 600 new employees over the next few years. New Auckland five-star hotel Horizon by SkyCity will open to guests from 1 March 2024.
