The Mayfair opens in Christchurch

The Mayfair has opened its doors in central Christchurch.

The hotel's first guests can expect a 'refreshing' luxury experience, says General Manager Rick Crannitch, who brings his premium hotel experience home from Melbourne to lead The Mayfair.

 

“The Mayfair is a fresh take on luxury, meaning that luxury no longer has to be about formality. Instead, it's relaxed, thoughtful, and welcoming at every touchpoint: a beautiful space, complemented by attentive service."

 

“Inside the hotel, guests can expect to enjoy extra-spacious suites, designed with elegant simplicity in mind. The intent is for discerning globetrotters to feel at home: local knowledge and attentive Kiwi hospitality mingle with internationally-sourced premium features such as American oak, and Italian ceramics, all carefully accented by mood lighting.”

 

Nestled in the heart of the hotel, Majestic at Mayfair offers a thoughtful blend of reimagined classics and new favourite cuisine. On the day menu is a gram-worthy brunch menu by local Executive Chef Nick Tatom, well known for his time at Christchurch establishment Hello Sunday. Guests can also book to enjoy a unique high tea created by French patisserie chef Aurelien Fermen, before Majestic at Mayfair then transforms into a premium cocktail bar by night.
