Event professionals, corporate executive and personal assistants and travel agents took the time to meet the team and check out the hotel first-hand. Guests were treated to Sudima’s fine hospitality with many commenting on the modern styling, abundance of natural light and the smart-casual uniforms. Michel Adolphe, director of sales and marketing at Sudima Hotels, says the hotel has had strong occupancy during the America’s Cup and will now focus on a mix of corporate and leisure guests.
The 194 room property located on the corner of Wellesley and Nelson streets is home to the plant based “East” restaurant. A roof top bar and meeting spaces are to open later this year.
The hotel company is currently working on new 120 room hotel projects in both Queenstown and Kaikoura, both with meeting facilities to complement its Auckland, Christchurch and Rotorua properties.
