The Tourism Export Council (TEC) NZ Conference is in full swing at the Rutherford Hotel, Nelson.

Chief executive Lynda Keene says some 270 delegates, consisting of tourism suppliers, inbound operators and guests, will be at the event, which finishes Thursday night.

The conference kicked off with a trade expo this morning, a second one this afternoon and a third tomorrow morning, with about 30 different suppliers presenting their wares at each session.

The programme tomorrow morning includes a presentation from Minister of Tourism Stuart Nash and then a panel involving tourism offices from offshore destinations, including Ireland, the UK and Australia.

Befitting what the industry has been through over the last two years, the conference ends on Thursday night with a survivor themed party.
