All eyes on New Zealand

New Zealand remains high on the consideration set for business events with

PCOs and event organisers based in Australia, according to CINZ chief executive Sue Sullivan in the recent CINZ board representatives’ update.

‘All indicators are that this will continue. This is supported by the interest shown in the new conference centres in Christchurch and Auckland,’ she says.

Kiwi diversity heads to Sydney

Seven business events exhibitors from around New Zealand will join CINZ and Tourism New Zealand on the 100% Pure New Zealand stand at the Associations Forum National Conference taking place in Sydney next month.

CINZ Australia manager Sharon Auld says the range of exhibitors heading along is designed to showcase New Zealand’s diversity as a destination. This year, three new exhibitors will join the group - Queen’s Wharf Auckland, Skyline Queenstown, and Auckland Museum - Tamaki Paenga Hira.

MEETINGS 2017: And the winners are

CINZ MEETINGS 2017 came to an end on Thursday last week, wrapping up two full on days of meetings and networking with a gala dinner at The Langham Auckland.

The dinner was staged by Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ), with styling by Event Impressions, entertainment and sound from The Production Agency, and Staging Connections managing the audio-visual component.

‘Our evening was the opportunity for all those involved to celebrate a week of knowledge sharing, relationship building and successful business generation,’ commented CINZ CEO Sue Sullivan.

MEETINGS wraps up

MEETINGS 2017 has come to an end, with the two-day trade exhibition putting New Zealand’s potential for events and incentive travel on show.

CINZ chief executive Sue Sullivan says a big contingent of international buyers and media were hosted over the two days of the event.

‘Event organisers are always looking for something truly different, and we have shown them New Zealand is a stunning learning and networking environment,’ she says. 

‘Our exhibitors have had plenty of positive feedback and have collectively held over 6000 meetings with potential clients and will be leaving MEETINGS with strong business leads to follow up,’ says Sullivan.

CINZ: Spam alert

CINZ is warning its members of a spam campaign after several members received an email last Thursday entitled CINZ MEETING & EXPO – NEW ZEALAND 2017.

The spam email is offering an “Attendees List of CINZ MEETING & EXPO – NEW ZEALAND 2017” at a discounted price. The email is from a Chris Paul (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

CINZ is asking its members to please be aware that the email is not a legitimate email from/about or related to CINZ in any way. It is spam and should be deleted.  

‘Please DO NOT respond to this email and under no circumstances enter into any arrangement to purchase this fictitious list,’ Sue Sullivan, CINZ chief executive, told members in an email on Thursday.

Sullivan is asking members to circulate this warning around their teams so they are all aware of it.

MEETINGS 2017 to put NZ on show

MEETINGS is a two-day national business tourism event for the conference, meetings, events, exhibition and travel incentive industry.

The event has been happening for the past 20 years, enabling attendees to meet exhibitors from across New Zealand all in one or two days.

Sue Sullivan, Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Chief Executive, says they’re inviting everyone responsible for meetings and events to spend a few valuable hours at MEETINGS 2017.
